About Jim Mitchell, The Biker Who Buys Houses:

Jim Mitchell is an early 40’s (at the time of this writing) who resides in sunny Florida, with his two wonderful teenage kids, a son and daughter, and married to his dream girl, Gloria.

Jim attended college to study music, in an attempt to become a music teacher.  After learning he really did not play well with others, he started a career in Law Enforcement and Corrections, after three years in College.

Growing up with a father who ran large correctional institutions, this was Jim’s foray into the family business of working “For the man”.  After nearly a decade in that profession, and living paycheck to paycheck, relying on credit cards and overtime to provide luxury items, Jim began to study real estate investing.

Like many before him, he was intrigued but skeptical of the late night infomercials.  Jim succumbed to the intrigue, and purchased his first course in 1996, promptly taking it into his home office to read…where it remained for nearly two years, unused, as skepticism won out in the end.

One morning after a truly trying midnight shift working for the local Sheriff’s office, Jim came home to “Take another look” and go online to verify the information provided in the late night course.

Sure enough, there were actually people out there making money, investing in real estate, with not much money to put down, if any at all, little to no credit, and only the experience of these courses.

After diving in full speed, Jim closed his first Wholesale transaction, creating an instant cash profit that equaled three months salary at his Sheriff’s office job.  Jim promptly retired from Law Enforcement/Corrections, and began investing full time.

Jim has been actively investing full time ever since.  Jim has mentored hundreds of students around the United States, Canada, and been invited to speak at seminars and conventions where he passes on the knowledge and experience he has earned in the street, investing.
